Here are our packing tips....

Make sure to use the right box....

From what we have noticed is that most homes you will need around 3-4 medium sized box for every large box. You would use the smaller boxes for your heavier items such as books and kitchen items, whilst using the large box for your bedding and clothing.

Don't over pack your boxes....

When packing your boxes make sure that you can comfortably lift them. This will ensure that no harm is caused to you or items when lifting. Always ensure that your box is not bulging on the sides, as this will cause issues if you need to stack them.

Find a sharpie and Label your boxes....

When storing or moving it can become very important to label your boxes. You don't want to get to the point when you have to guess which box has the item you are looking for.

Label which is the top of the box.....

Make sure you clearly mark which is the top of the box and any storing instructions. You don't want to have boxes full of glassware having other boxes stacked on top.

If it isn't rubbish don't bag it.....

Don't use rubbish bags for storing your items. Rubbish bags might seem like an easy way to store items , but can cause a lot of issues. The bags are easily squashed and ripped and worse case can become full of mildew from no ventilation. Make sure you store you items in boxes!

Using the right tape actually matters.....

Using good quality packing tape does matter. Not only will it increase the strength of you boxes for moving it will also ensure that you box stays closed of the length of its stored life.

Make sure you hang up your cloths.....

You wouldn't store your clothes in a pile on the ground at home, So why would you pile them in a box for storage. There are boxes available that allow you hang clothes and are highly recommended.

Try to compress large items.....

With many large items you are able to pull them apart for storage. For example pull your bed frame apart and stack the slats together and tape them up. You can also put your screws in a small plastic bag and tape it the frame of the bed.
